Go Into This Space (2012)

Six video projectors on the floor throw animated texts (‘event-scores’ by Mark Themann) in a slow reveal, and in silence, against gallery walls. 

 

Viewers can move around the projectors casting their own shadow within the work. Each projector presents a unique text cycle that is not repeated in – and not synchronised to – any other projector. 

 

Sentences are projected a few words at a time. Words become visible slowly and fade well before the next sentence fragment slowly comes into view. 

 

Across all channels there is one constant. Each event-score, each sentence, always begins with ‘Go Into This Space’. The remainder of each sentence develops slowly into its own unique ‘event-score’.
